Residents Reminded to Keep Grease Out of the Drain
Please, don't pour grease down the drain. With holiday cooking around the corner, please remember that washing fat, oils or grease down the drain causes slow drains, blockages and sewer back-ups. Wipe off utensils, plates and pots to trash before washing. Use strainers in drains to capture food particles. Pour oil into containers for disposal to trash. City of Longmont Public Works & Water Utilities is offering FREE Fat Trappers and replacement liners to all Longmont residents. Pick them up at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, 501 East 1st Avenue.
